Will there be a change of energy in Iran? Hope is misleading, says Clemens Verenkotte. Because Khamenei’s heirs clung to energy. And the USA lacks persistence.

Clemens Verenkotte

Is the top of the regime now imminent? Now, after the killing of the aged, merciless revolutionary chief Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his navy management? Hope is excessive: Iranians at residence and overseas are cheering. And many people say: The 90 million Iranians would love it.

Netanyahu hopes for extra time

But hope is misleading. The inhabitants must deal with the change of energy themselves, says US President Donald Trump. And that is when he and his allies are completed. Trump is relying on fast success and needs to declare himself the winner rapidly. The persistence of his supporters for conflict missions began on their very own initiative is now fairly skinny.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, then again, hopes to get extra time from Trump. Time to realize his decades-long purpose: to break down the mullahs’ regime and thus remove the archenemy.

Huge dangers

The query, nevertheless, is: If this succeeds, who will then defend the Iranian inhabitants from the badly broken regime? From the thugs and revolutionary guards that also exist. Trump, or Netanyahu? Hardly. There isn’t any clear strategic purpose for the USA as to how issues ought to proceed after their assault in Iran ends.

It is already clear that Khamenei’s heirs are doing every part they’ll to remain in energy. And to take revenge on Israel, the USA and the neighboring Arab states. There is little question that the “War of Choice” that Washington and Jerusalem have launched carries monumental dangers. For all of us.
