The controversy haunts the 61st version of the Venice Art Biennale, which has simply been left and not using a jury after the resignation of its 5 members, in accordance with a quick assertion posted on the official web site of the Biennale. According to a different assertion revealed in E-Flux, the jury would have resigned “in respect for our own declaration of intentions”, in reference to its determination to exclude the Russian Federation and Israel from the prizes awarded by the Biennial, which needed to have been introduced on May 9, the opening day of the exhibition.
